To continue in any field of endeavour for a quarter of a century is remarkable by any standards but to do so with such an apparently inexhaustible supply of energy, creativity and motivation is an extraordinary achievement. This achievement is all the more unique when you consider that over the last 25 years Medwyn Goodall has produced over 100 albums of original music both in his own name and as Midori with some of his best selling albums reaching Gold and Platinum status. It is difficult to think of any other artist today who has produced such a prolific body of work where the range of musical styles and expression is so diverse and the quality of the music so consistently high.
Twenty two of Med's albums are represented in this collection which spans the New World, Oreade and MG Music labels. It offers a rare insight into Med's personal favorites which I am glad to say also include many of mine.
The collection is beautifully presented and comes with a booklet which not only contains general comments from Med about his career and influences but also contains background notes for every track providing an extra insight into the creation of the music and the inspiration behind it.
As Chris says the selection of tracks is beautiful and the quality of the re-mastering is superb.
If you are already an existing fan of Med's music this collection will no doubt become another treasured addition to your collection. If you are relatively new to Med's work you will not find a better introduction to the man and his music.

A beautiful selection of tracks. This album is a must-have for any devotee of Medwyn's music or New Age music generally. Whether you are new to the genre and seeking the absolute best or, maybe like us Runestone folks, you've been around for a while and simply want to chill out with a large helping of nostalgia served up by the world's best, this album deserves a place in your CD collection.
