This is the kind of music I hear inside my mind eversince I was a little boy and the very first time I've recognized myself as an intelligent and spiritual human being! These sounds lead me back to the origin of my imagination making me feel just like I'm under a spell there from the beginning of time. My knowledge of English language is too weak to express all I feel!!!

Welcome to one of the most inspiring and varied Celtic albums of 2004. This fantastic release holds instant appeal to anyone who admires Threefold, Clannad, Enya or just simply the Celtic cultures of the United Kingdom.
The album has so many positive virtues it is difficult to know where to begin. Firstly the vocals on the CD are all sung in the enchanting Celtic languages of Gaelic and Welsh. Medwyn’s choice selection of vocal artists including Wendy Goodall, Sinead Farrell, Brett and Caroline Goldsworthy and of course, himself, compliment each other perfectly giving a depth to the music that you only get through painstaking attention to detail and an in-depth knowledge of the cultures you are representing.
Even if you do not speak these languages yourself it makes little difference to the appreciation and enjoyment of these harmonious and haunting songs which en-trance the mind and steal the heart.
It’s not just the vocals that make the CD, Medwyn’s mastery of his Celtic ensemble including the Uillean Pipes, Mandolin, Irish Wood Flutes, Dulcimer, Fiddle and the Bodhrun combine to echo the spirits and sentiments of these ancient lands deep into our souls and senses.
Stir the vocals with the instrumentals and leave to boil for 51 minutes (the length of the CD) and you can serve up a musical delight guaranteed to warm the heart and hearth of every Celtic loving household from Southern Ireland, up to the Hebrides and down to the Black Mountains of Wales.
Medwyn graces us with 11 such songs, all different in their pace and presentation, yet consistent in their theme and depth.
Although released in 2004 this compilation still stands in the forefront of the great Celtic musical releases of this decade, if you do not own this CD consider your music collection incomplete until you have heard the majesty of Anam Cara for yourself.
