 Midori is an alias used by Medwyn Goodall.
I created the artist name Midori so that I could record projects that were more ethnic, eastern, or produced for the healing arts.
The abums that carry my real name are generally more rhythmical, melodic and my audience and fans have come to expect a certain sound from me. To be fair I didn't want to confuse everyone when releasing something so different and so I use the two names to distinguish the difference in content.
Most of my fans now know that I am Midori and with some irony enjoy both by Medwyn and Midori titles equally.
I am often asked what Midori means? Midori is the name of a Japanese Koi Carp. A very rare, prized and special fish with green metalic scales. It is also a Japanese girls name. It seemed a good name for producing more eastern spiritually styled music.
