The next CLANNAD!
A superb debut album filled with a mystical depth that touches the soul. The album is very inspired by ancient ways and beliefs of Wicca and pagan lore. It reveals the innocence, purity, and magic of those ideas and casts aside the darkness.
Melodic, yearning, ancient, medieval, celtic, it's all here but this I feel is but the birth of what I feel will mature into a classic new group. |

This is my favourite of the two albums I own, and am presently awaiting delivery of the 3rd album. There is also a Yuletide album, but unfortunately it is only available at that time of year.
I never tire of listening to Threefold and have the albums on repeat on the 'pod'. A wonderful sound to lull you to sleep too.
Please dont compare it to Clannad, or any other folk group. They are a lifetime away from those dullards.
Listen and you will believe in the power of the earth.
Blessin's

i would give 10 stars! top class music! every song puts a different image into my head, the one that pops up the most is driving home in the dark, and an old friend giving me advise and support, listening to this music! it brings back alot of good, missed memories.

I heard this CD playing in a new age shop in Whitby, Yorkshire, and asked after it.I love the ambience it evokes, it almost makes you feel as if you are in a magical place of enchantment (fairy stories aside!)
I have recently ordered the second CD - Candle Magic, and after hearing some of the clips, I can't wait to get it!

This is some of the most inspirational and most wonderful listening Ive had the pleasure of in a long time. The music is everything enchanting, beautiful, melodic and spiritual you could want it to be. And the vocals go in so very well with it all. Brilliant stuff,

Hailed as “the new Clannad” by Medwyn Goodall in a modest attempt to express admiration for a group that comes as a blessing to the new age and pagan music scene. The inspirational pairing of Les Miles and Tim Rock has resulted in what is a truly a magical union henceforth known as “Threefold”.
In this album “Circle of Light” Les and Tim take us through an enchanting musical celebration of the Wiccan and Pagan customs paying homage to such traditions as “Handfasting” and “Preparing the Circle”. This 65 minute CD holds 12 such titles each crafted and performed with an equal passion for the music and the history that inspired the album in the first place.
From the first track “Besom” to the last “Runes” the composition and performance resonate with a depth and eloquence that listeners might seek to compare with artists such as Enya or Enigma. Whilst there are certain similarities in expression and style anyone who has listened to the CD will tell you that “Threefold” are in a league that it all their own.
The haunting and timeless vocals, subtle depth of the lyrics and outstanding musical accompaniment make this the essential new age album of the year.

I remember Tim/Les's entries in the "talent competition" and although I enjoyed and was impressed with those, I did not expect anything like this style from them. An extremely enjoyable CD that exceeds the descriptions that have been on the MG website over the last few months. More please....soon !!

Absolutely wonderful. Congratulations guys on a fantastic CD. I am listening to it now at work (7.58am) whilst typing this. The music is so beautiful, so well put together with with the background vocals - a real treat to listen to. Don't be too long with the next one will you - LOL. Bye for now - Lesley

Medwyn calls this the "new Clannad"- I'd say it was better than that. Mystic/slightly Celtic instrumentation with vocals at once gentle and mysterious . Imagine Clannad mixed with Medwyn in his "Druid" phase . An intriguing album and one well worth repeated plays .Really enjoyable !!
